How to Obtain a Work Visa Sponsorship for Switzerland?
Switzerland being an EU state, requires all non-EU citizens to have a visa to live and work in the country. To be eligible, the job posting you’re applying for must have been active on the website for at least one month. Once you are selected by an employer, they apply for the work permit on your behalf.
Once you have the permit from Swiss Labor Authorities, you can independently apply for a work visa from Switzerland. The permit is valid for two years, and you can apply for its renewal. If you wish to obtain permanent residency (PR), you need to wait for five years.
Keep in mind that visa requirements for unskilled laborers tend to be more stringent and lengthy compared to skilled or tech visa applicants.
Key requirements include:
- Proof of employment or job reference letter along with pay slips for the last 6 months
- Clean criminal record (from your home country or any other country of residence for the past year)
- Bank Account Maintenance certificate
- Proof of health/medical insurance (minimum of 30,000 Euros)
- Legalized vaccination documents
- Proof of stay in Switzerland
- Original bank statements for the last six months (equivalent to at least 200,000 PKR)
- Travel Insurance
- Sponsor letter
